A Romantic Vintage Wedding Overlooking the Assiniboine River

Erin and Kit first met in high school, but it was during their vacation to Hawaii in February 2012 where their road to marriage officially began. What followed was a whirlwind of wedding preparations, culminating in a beautiful romantic vintage-inspired wedding. The two chose to incorporate some of their favourite colours — including ivory, blush, navy and coral hues — to create their perfect romantic, vintage theme. The wedding ceremony was held outdoors on the lower lawn of the Gates on Roblin and overlooked the Assiniboine River. Erin wore an elegant dress by Pronovias, while Kit donned a navy Hugo Boss suit. The reception took place in the ballroom of the Gates on Roblin, where each table was adorned with vintage books and garden posies in vases. Apart from the beautiful décor and food, the couple says one of their most memorable moments from their wedding was listening to their friends’ and families’ heartfelt, touching speeches on their special day.
